In her remarks to the graduates, Community Council President Breana Del Gatto said her class was particularly unique.
"This is an insanely special class filled with incredibly unique people," Del Gatto said. "I felt more camaraderie and friendship and respect for one another than I ever dreamed I would."
Superintendent of Schools Dan Brenner focused his remarks on relationships. He hoped that students take one relationship — their relationship with learning — from the classroom and into their adult lives.
"We hope that your quest for your knowledge in the classroom has moved away from the need to get the best grade and toward the desire to learn about a topic because you find it fascinating and you want to know more," Brenner said.
